A 9 Hole ‘Dinosaur’ themed course designed to complement the clients other attractions and linking to the sites strategic location on the Jurassic Coast in Devon. The course includes a number of life size Dinosaurs, a waterfall and realistic fossil features. The course incorporates a number of educational features which provides a interesting an unique added benefit to what is a great little course.

Responsibilities

HM Adventure Golf were appointed as Principal Contractor under a standard JCT Design and Construct contract. We delivered a turn key service including providing a full design service, Project and Cost Management and also the CDM Coordinator service.

Challenges

The course being located in proximity to the coastal path and as such the design and construction needs to take account of the potential severe environmental conditions.

One year on the course remains in excellent condition.

The course was on a small footprint of approximately 400 sq m and as such required an innovative design solution in order to achieve a balance between the size and complexity of the holes  whilst maintained an efficient pathway around the course and ensuring full DDA compliance.

The project was successfully delivered to coincide with the opening of the school for the summer season in timeframe of 8 weeks.
